Knicks interested in some character named Pablo Prigioni

Postby Adi » July 2, 2012, 10:03 pm

Claudio Villanueva on (his client) Pablo Prigioni's future: "(The Knicks) made him go through several physical exams, and they were impressed by his physical condition. He also worked out twice individually. Two days later, Pablo received a list of schools where he could take his kids. Starting tomorrow, we will wait for the offer and we will study it." recontravaleradio.com.ar

"Money always matters. At the same time, this would be the cherry on top for his career. If that means he has to leave some money on the table, maybe we'd do it. (...) If Pablo gets to play 20 minutes a game in the NBA he will average 12 assists with his eyes closed and walking backwards." recontravaleradio.com.ar

35-year old Argentinian point guard with apparent supernatural abilities. I like it.

Pfft.........so what?

Fred Jones can play 20 seconds a game in the NBA and his team is up by 50 points by the end of the first quarter.........while averaging a quintuple-double while walking on one leg and his ears covered by headphones

NO SCRUBS.........THERE IS NO SCRUBS ON THE NEW YORK KNICKS AT LAST

Didnt we hear about him a few weeks ago? Guy never played a day in the nba and his agent says he can average 12 assists in his sleep. Almost irrisponsible and novice representation dontcha think? How bout just saying it would be his dream to join the nba and focus on how his yrs of experience could definatley help in the development of the knicks current pg, Lin.
We need more Ray-ality.

Sign him.
Trust me.

There's something strange about this. Think about it.

A few years ago, Fred Jones disappeared from the game, never to be heard from again. Yet we all still feel his spirit lingering around the NBA...anytime a magnificent play happens on the court, there are whispers that perhaps it was divine intervention from FJ who creates these amazing plays. But nobody has had visual proof of him.

But now, out of nowhere this 35 year old "Argentinian" named "Pablo Prigioni" with superhuman powers like walking on water with his eyes closed and dribbling the ball with his nose wants into the NBA, specifically onto the Knicks in a desperate time when we need a gigantic boost in order to beat the Heat. This isn't a coincidence...it can only mean one thing. Fred Jones is back. He is Pablo Prigioni. And the game is about to change.

Still don't believe me? Re-arrange the letters of "Pablo Prigioni" and what do you get? That's right...."Fred Jones". It doesn't get any more obvious.

I'm all for resigning Fred Jones. Anyway we can change the topic title?
"It's kind of the same as when people said I was overrated, I have the same response," James said. "I don't need to flop. I play an aggressive game but I don't flop. I've never been one of those guys. I don't need to flop. I don't even know how to do it. So it doesn't mean much to me."

Nothing new. We have him on the radar for quite some time and he is not some character, but Argentina's lead guard.

This Pablo fellow sounds interesting......i can see him as a 3rd string PG....never played an NBA game but sounds like he knows what to do, great court awareness, good basketball iq....thats all overseas though...like i said (a nice cheap) 3rd string pg he would be ideal (imo)

The Knicks still have on their radar Spanish League point guard Pablo Prigioni, who is four years younger than Kidd. He is looking for a little more than the minimum and the Knicks have to find a way. The Knicks already have signed Italian Leaguer James White, an athletic swingman with 10 NBA games under his belt.

Alan Hahn
Also in NBA Free Agency

The Knicks may also know soon if they will be adding yet another veteran player to the roster. According to El Correo, Argentina's star point guard Pablo Prigioni will announce "Monday or Tuesday" where he will play next season. The Knicks have had strong interest in the 35 year old, but at this point can only offer him a veteran's minimum contract. He may pass and return to the Spanish League for more money. With Jason Kidd and Jeremy Lin on the roster, Prigioni, an outstanding passer and defender, may not see much playing time in New York.
