Unfortunately for us, we're so thin that Al's actually the backup C and PF. Would you rather see Bender getting long minutes? Billy is not a PF/C, he's a wing.

The thing is, I hate having to continually see Al play in the fourth during a tight game. We dont need both Lee and Harrington out there at the same time at that point. If he's not having a good shooting night (which is pretty much every night) why bother having him in the game at all? I don't get D'Antoni's apparent love for Al. We got rid of his boy Duhon but now it seems that Al's minutes have only increased since.
Fucking magnets, how do they work?

I'll be honest....Al's my favorite knick, but starting to lose faith in the guy....it's like he turns it over way too much (especially during the clutch) and decides to be the "go to" guy all the time....what ever happened to that being more of a team player talk he was saying in the offseason....

Turiaf is a Knick fanatic. "WOW!" he shouts, nearly exploding from the mere contemplation of a possible New York career. "Who wouldn't want to wear a Knick uniform? John Starks, Patrick Ewing, come on! Awesome! I mean, those guys are basketball heroes! Listen, I've never played well at Madison Square Garden. I was always hurt. What I wouldn't give for 41 chances to play well here!"

"Plus the playoffs, of course."

Perhaps Don Nelson had him right all along - he really is delusional and thinks he is better than he is. You kind of sympathize with the guy because he is really kind of lost as a "tweener" who is too good to be "just a role player" and too much of a scrub to be a star on your team. In my opinion, 20 minutes off the bench leading the offense with mainly defensive players/unselfish players surrounding him is the only value he has left. Mostly the anger I have toward him is not so much his game (he actually has a decent game) but his decision-making. He is the epitome of "FAIL!!!" in the fourth quarter. Can you think of a "spotless" clutch performance from him? He carries us for most of the quarter and then makes some crackpot move in the final 4 minutes. Tonight, he took a 3 trying to be the hero after a missed shot, and then we ended up going down by 5 and deflating our hopes of catching up to tie it. He has done that countless times.

SOLUTION:

GIVE BILL WALKER ALL OF HIS MINUTES NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2010-2011 New York Knicks
PG - Felton (34mpg), Tony Douglas (14mpg)
SG - Walker (22mpg), Buki (22mpg), Toney Douglas (4mpg)
SF - Gallo (25mpg), Chandler (20mpg) Randolph (3mpg)
PF - Randolph (25mpg), Gallo (10mpg), Chandler (11mpg), Amare (3mpg)
C - Amare (34mpg), Turiaf (9mpg), Randolph (5mpg)

Al has lost at least 5 games for us down the stretch this season. This is why I question D'Antoni's basketball savvy. I ask myself all the time, when D'Antoni doesn't coach with "the know how", "What would Phil do, or What would Jefff Van Gundy do, or What would Pat Riley do"? A true coach would put the smack down on Al, the same way Don Nelson did. Al can't rebound, he can't defend, and he lives behind the arc. However, the killer part is that his basketball IQ is equivalent to a talented 6th grade, who's just learning how to play organized ball. I am 100% certain that he will not receive a contract offer from Donnie. A day later after the Spurs debacle and I'm still livid. :drunk:
