Big J and Nazr.
Thanks for the replies.
I’m just now seeing your comments and I agree wholeheartedly with everything said. I’ve always liked Butler’s game [gotta love any player able to score 20 ppg AND be named to All-Defensive teams], but either he’s not gonna live up to the years in the super-max contract OR his addition to this particular team [we don’t have a Towns nor an overrated Wiggins] isn’t gonna move the Knicks needle enough to make New York legit contenders to reach the NBA Finals, and therefore it’s not the direction we should take.

I am pretty sure even KP doesn't know yet... There are going to be so many tests on the knee the next couple of weeks and months... and depending on how they turn out a return date will be set...

just a reminder that we will be ok.
get plus defender/rebounders at the 3/4 spots and watch KP eat guys up.
Vonleh and Knox once things click for him are perfect guys to play next to him talent wise.....as long as KP and Knox move the ball. ......throw in Frank and Cam Reddish/RJ/Grimes and we are fully set!!
im just gonna say it
not a fan of KP's reaction to this not running Fiz thing.
just a real millennial BS move...and this is coming from a millennial
Fiz wasnt throwin venom at you..why react like a lil girl for

New York Knicks‘ Kristaps Porzingis has made good progress from left ACL surgery and will be re-evaluated in mid-February.

Rumor: Knicks won’t offer Kristaps Porzingis fully guaranteed max contract:

1. if Woj or Stein doesnt say it it's not real.
2. we argued this before....and I said we have to place Embiid like situations in his deal.
3. are you guys willing to lose KP over that?
it's an interesting question when u throw the idea that we havent seen him play after his injury...the injury couldnt of been at a worse time...if it happened 4 months prior...hed be playing and we would have more time to evaluate and more chances to have luka smh

Definitely don’t want to lose Porzingis.
BTW, I can’t imagine New York playing games with the man’s coins. But wanted to post the article anyway to hear the thoughts of others about it.
Seems like forever since Porzingis has played a game.

The part of this story that gets me and you see it all the time....how the Knicks risk alienating KP should they not sign him immediately to a max. Any player that doesnt get it and would be effected by the team doing whats best froma business standpoint is not th etype of player that team shold want on a max contract anyway. If you are that soft, you are not gonna earn that money anyway in most cases.
I am sure KP will have his big boy pants on and take what is best for him which will probably be where he gets the most money which will probably be with hte Knicks any way.
Want to assure it KP, come back and play and prove you are healthy!

Adding injury protections to KP's future contract make great sense. We've been burnt too many times. Luck hasn't been on our side for quite a while and it may never find its way to us. Anything limiting the effects of bad fortune is welcomed around here.
We can't afford to lose our only star, but KP hopefully will get that we need that kind of guarantee
