Postby snadler on February 27, 2010, 5:51 pm

Not!!!...got destroyed by the Cavs, and then lost to the Nets at home..and don't tell me no Pierce..but wait, if Nate was so great losing Pierce should be of no impact..yeah right...Fuck the Celtics and I hope they lose the rest of their games

What do you mean "don't tell me no pierce"

he's their best player. He's their go-to scorer. Nate's been there for 2 games. It's not like tmac didn't lose his first 3 here and it's not like the cavs don't beat a lot of teams by healthy margins.

they lost to the nets at home, come on dude..nate has and will have zero impact..I'm just bringing this up because in nate's parting interview he talked about how tired he was about losing, and is happy to be playing for a winner, despite him doing nothing for the past 5 years to help them stop the losing.

LOL, no pierce but they still have garnett, allen, and rondo (all three current or past all-stars) and Nate the great! No excuse to lose to the Nets at home.

Have you spoken with Mike D’Antoni? Timofey Mozgov: Yes. I went to dinner with him and he’s a good guy in my opinion. I don’t know how he’s going to be on the court, but he’s tough. He told me “Please, don’t be lazy” and that if I work hard I will play for sure. HoopsHype.com

Ooops typed too fast and was trying to turn on the Knicks game and typed Knicks instead of Nets LOL

Anyway, talent wise Celtics are so much better than the Knicks, so there really is no excuse to lose to the Nets, especially when they have Nate the Great with his winning ways.

talk about being a winner.. :D

House is a huge back-up to the Celts, its their loss and our gain (and we got a bonus for Walker). its like separating Nate into 2 players.. :D

I think we got more out of this trade, House has been having a bigger impact for us than Nate is for the Celtics. Plus House fills a void we didn't have, someone who passes the ball AND shoots MUCH better than Nate.

Sorry man, but from the box score, Nate was a -19 while rest of team was +4 to +8 for Celtics.

3 assist, 1 turnover to Rondo's 17 assists. How do you go -19 when rest of team is +4 to +8? Sounds like someone you used to bash... Duhon.

no need to apologize...whats funny is how you supported Fredo long after he became easily mistaken for a piece of calcified, petrified driftwood. Why Fan???
These are the 3 weapons you invariably choose from to use against Nate:
1) +/- number.
2) assist/TO ratio
3) shooting percentage and points
and when all else fails "Nate is not a PG".

For the last year, which ever of the above 3 parameters Nate is weakest on, you cherry-pick and omit the others.

For example from the Cleveland game all you cited were his poor shooting numbers. But he shot well in the NJ game, yet you omitted those numbers. Selective use of stats to make your points has come to be expected. It's also a highly suspect style of debate.

Again did you watch the game, if you watched it, you mightve (probably not) noticed he was the only celtic who briefly ignited the crowd.

Im glad Snadler initiated this thread in the Knicks forum. I wouldn't have, but now that its here, we'll be able to refer back to it.

That's your great defense? Garnett and Rondo ignited the crowd in the first half when Garnett was 5/5 and Rondo led the break. Nate ignited the crowd in NY, but the team still lost more than half of their games as well.

who called it "my great defense?" as far as Im concerned there's nothing to defend. Only 3 games on a new team, and like I said, despite the atriocious +/_ he played well and ignited the crowd. Did you see the game, because Rondo got into early foul trouble and didnt even play much in the 1 st quarter....
Like I said, Im in observation mode, and will give him a report card at the end of the playoffs.
you've made up your mind even before just 3 games as a Celtic. You're the one that needs to "defend" your entrenched thinking.
BTW, Danny Ainge just called out the starters for playing poorly..
...also, I see youre still tagging small parts of my posts with anti- Nate rhetoric despite my requests that you stop. NP Nann, Im not gonna lose my cool any anymore....

It's one fuckin' game, calm the fuck down. Why are we even talking about Nate Robinson, what the Celtics do have no affect on us at this point.

If we had Allen, Garnette, Rondo, and Robinson and we lost, I'd be mad. But we didn't really have anyone but Nate the Great, so it was expected we'd lose.

Yeah but still, give us Allen, Garnette, and Rondo and I bet we would have won, even with Duhon!

Nate didn't play because D'antoni decided we didn't need him. Apparently Lee is the greatest forward in the league and is way better than rustylegs KG. Apparently Gallinari is also a way better shooter than anyone in the universe, especially ray allen. When you factor in our awesome DOOKIE pg, we shouldve SLAUGHTERED the nets even though the Cs didnt.
