Don't feel bad. I'm just sitting here waiting for the Cubs to break my heart. As they always do.

My parents redid their house several years ago and my dad and I are both on the tall side (not exceptional like 6'1 and 2). They had the showers, counters and a dining room table redesigned for slightly taller than average people and it's amazing what a difference it made. I hadn't stood up straight in a shower since I was a kid, it felt great.Mr. Glass wrote:Patrick Ewing living that life!

Anyways NBA players are a lot taller than I am. Someone who's 7 feet tall should buy that because having a house that fits is a big lifestyle improvement and it's expensive to make one from scratch.
I don't know the area but 7 million is a lot for that square footage.

This cover...
Speechless.

Great post Shakes! I am not sure there could be a more spot on example of one of the main issues in our (US) society today than that cover. As my friend WPJ likes to point out, he believes that the media is slanted well towards the repub party, holding up their values as opposed to liberals...or should i say dems.
NOT!
I don't want to hold up the Daily News as some kind of bastion of journalistic integrity but it is a heavily read rag in a predominantly liberal....(or should I say democrat) city/area. So, the implication....the only reason that there are no further gun controls being discussed are those republicans!! Because we know that there are NO democrats in the pockets of the NRA and alike right?!? No way, they are too liberal (or should I say democrat) to put money ahead of what is right!!
Yea, these kind of things are exactly what promotes bipartisanship among the elected leaders.
"I will reach across that aisle and build a sense of bipartisanship" .....it starts at the top....there is no sense of anyone working together, it is an "us against them" government right now and that just will not work very well.
Time for a change with that!

phew. no executive order. Good luck calling for a republican congress to ban assault rifles. Coming back to this, California has the strongest gun control in the country, so how is this shooting republicans fault? And here's my snipy cartoon response addendum. See that flimsy little net? Not doing much good is it? Nope.
