sick to my stomach that Trump became president.
Look, I'm not a democrat and I would be as sick if Hillary was elected.
But I'm not even talking about policy....
the man has zero military experience and zero experience in politicking.
My island is a mess and Trump has no mercy on those living in poverty and the rich will pay less taxes.

People want me to leave America? My entire family served the military for 3 decades. What country is going to offer me what America has? I believe America is the best country in the world. It's just under the wrong hands and government.

White supremacy is alive and about to thrive once again.

Stay safe, my fellow NYKFP brothers and sisters.

JMO but anyone who is legitimately surprised by this was willfully ignoring the reality of it. Mainstream media was shown to be misrepresenting the american people through this entire election process, so why would you put so much stock in the mainstream media's assurances that Clinton would win? I'm not saying I agree with anything they say but I've been reading breitbart's election coverage since the spring: there's a lot of america that simply hasn't been represented.

I voted for Clinton and I didn't get what I wanted. Since you don't always get what you want in a republic that means that I go about my business and keep working. We'll see how this pans out, the biggest silver lining to me is that it's going to really allow both major parties to reset and force them to do a lot of soul-searching, possibly even a realignment of social and economic tendencies between the parties. As well as a significant opening for third parties to make moves.

I think that's a cop-out of an explanation. An over-simplification at best and at worst dismisses valid components of a platform that a lot of americans agree with without engaging with them.

when our standard of living is 5 times that of Chinese and Mexicans, they will be willing to work for wages that would never support the mythological American Dream of 2 cars, food so abundant and cheap we throw it out, college education and nice retirement playing golf. Those jobs are lost for now. Trump can't bring them back. The American Dream is slipping away.

I felt sick last night i couldn't believe this shit. This will sit with me for a long time. Florida has a growing massive latino population and they couldn't pull through in Florida. This country is about to be a complete horror and become even more racially divided.

he was suppose to do 9-11 % wit Hispanics and did in the 30%. how do you vote for a dude who trashes your people. calls them thugs, drug dealers etc... no self pride and wants to deport some of your people.

In before this thread is moved to Off Topic.

The answer is simple - Assimilation. Once you've achieved your idea of what it means to become American, then screw the others. The mentality become, "Surely he's not talking about me, just the bad ones". However, if he ever gets to implement his plan to deport millions of the undocumented, there will be no difference between a Mexican, Puerto Rican, or El Salvadorian. Maybe a newly designed "Star of David" might premier? Say, a taco bowl icon sewn into your shirt?

I'm feeling foul today, sorry.

Watching the election results last night felt like watching the Knicks lose for the past 20 years. Only multiplied by 700. And this time there's no "next season".

Well I guess there is. But it's in 4 years...

Hypothetical Scenario #1

Rudy Giuliani is going to get a cabinet position for sure. Assume that water-head bitch gets to be the head of the DOJ. Let's say he challenges the Stop and Frisk law he instituted in NYC with the Supreme Court AFTER Conservatives get their person(s) confirmed. Could it be overturned and found not to violate constitutional rights, even though we know it's been used in a bias way?

Could S&F be the law of the land throughout America? That would be loads of fun.

My reasoning for thinking Trump would win is because:

1. The vast majority of the US population is white
2. The number of people out there that would simply vote for Trump as having a woman Pres ESPECIALLY after a black one would be just too much for them
3. The number of ppl who didnt really want either of them and chose not to vote
