Scary.

He was the toast of Boston less than a year ago. That's kind of mind blowing. Then he goes to Cleveland, LA then Denver....

Free agent forward Jabari Parker has agreed to a two-year, $40M deal with the Chicago Bulls, league sources tell ESPN. Milwaukee rescinded Parker's qualifying offer moments ago, making him unrestricted.

Wow, if he stays healthy, big if, then that’s a nice haul for the Bulls.

Chicago have put together a talented young quintet for their starting line up. If they stay healthy and reach their potential they look set and that's before any future additions in free agency or through trades or the draft.

Parker ain't really a SF. They'd probably have him be a sixth man on that squad at combo forward.

Wendell should be a good two-way player (for a rookie), but the rest of this starting five will bleed points. You can't win without defense, and I would be legitimately scared to put Parker and Lavine together out there

Me too. Thought he would want to spread his wings a bit.

And BTW, this is more of what the THJ contract should have looked like.

2019 FA:

Leonard, Irving, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Jimmy Butler, Al Horford, Jeff Teague, Kevin Love, DeMarcus Cousins and Kemba Walker are among next summer’s free-agent glitterati. Center Marc Gasol is also free, but scratch him off Mills’ list after his titanic feud with new coach David Fizdale.

It's mostly fantasy, but we're still in position.

1000% Stevo....if Tim got that I'd be good with it.

And Smart wins playoff games.

I'm still not totally sold on how good they'll be, their saving grace is having LeBron on board, but the Lakers look to be in decent shape:

Ball - Rondo - Caruso
KCP - Hart - Bonga
Ingram - Stephenson - Deng
LeBron - Beasley - Wagner
Javale - Kuzma - Zubac

I saw the lineup on Twitter yesterday and thought the same. It’ll be very interesting to see how Luke Walton, his coaching assistants and, to a lesser extent, LeBron is able to corral all of these “different” personalities into a well-oiled machine, if that’s humanly possible.

But Magic has assembled a solid group of talent, albeit misfits.

Note: LeBron wanted Cavs to sign Beasley shortly before New York signed him.

Houston?
Golden State?
Lakers?

If I’m Melo, I’m headed to Golden State.

I never considered GS. That would be pretty funny.

Agreed.

Not to mention I still want to see Carmelo win a ring during his NBA career.

That would be the emptiest championship ring anyone ever earned. People gave Barkley shit for joining Houston, this would blow that out of the water..

That Karl Malone / Gary Payton LA season was pretty sad as we’ll. So funny they blew it.

To us, basketball purists, this is the truth.

But to these new breed of sports “fans” witnessed on a daily basis via social media, I’m not so sure.

For example, there are some who truly believe Stephen Curry is a better overall player than LeBron James.
