Melo is the perfect 4 for international ball. He finishes in the paint a lot better than he does in the nba. I give him props for what he's doing. Dude is a pro.

Fixed.

Love it, was great to watch yesterday.

THE leading scorer in olympics history is Brazil legend Oscar Schmidt:
Anthony totaled 14 points in the opening quarter and finished with a game-high 31. He has 293 points in his Olympic career. ... Brazil's Oscar Schmidt holds the all-time record of 1,093.

Honestly team USA is not looking too good right now. The starting lineup is legit but the bench is suspect. Guys like Lowry and Derozan are just not a good fit. Draymond Green being a 'jack of all trades' is not what the team needs either, despite popular belief. If he cant shoot or create offense, whats the point? I think having 'specialists' is better than 'I can do it all' types in the Olympic setting. Paul George is the only guy off the bench I like. Another obvious problem is the big men. Every game foul trouble. Not a good look. USA likely will run into more close games unless they figure something out or the starters just light up everyone early.

But Draymond CAN shoot and create offense. I don't know what has transpired in these Olympics as I haven't watched a single game, but Draymond is certainly not devoid of the requisite skills you mentioned.

Yeah, but lets look at whats going on. Green can shoot sure, but is he a pure shooter? Not really. I just dont have the confidence that he can hit that open shot when the game is on the line. Secondly shorter 3 point line, less space to create. Kyrie is doing great, Green is not. Whats the difference there? Size and speed.

And again today USA almost lost to Serbia. Green put up 0 points 2 assists 2 TO's in 14 mins(7 points, 1-4 from 3, 1 assist vs AUS). Thats not all star level play. It shows that either A. He is not what the team needed or B. hes playing on a second unit that is redundant as hell, all slashers 0 shooters. :?

To be fair I liked the changes made to the lineup. Inserting George to the starting squad and putting Klay on the bench helps solve my issue. I didnt get to see todays game vs Serbia so I cant really comment about what went down there

Well, it sounds like Draymond isn't being used properly. Sounds like he should be featured more at the 5. I'm certain that his shooting is good enough for that spot. I mean, what available center shoots, passes, and defends better than Draymond without stagnating the uptempo transition game they play?

Lemme summarize the video: He's basically calling out the USA's big men.......Deandre and Boogie, but mostly Boogie. I actually can't disagree with this video, neither Dre nor Boogie have made any dominant presence felt in the last 2-3 games.

Yeah, the lack of execution is pointed out on offense as well (Kyrie and Lowry are far different than CP3, D-Will, and even a one-legged Derrick Rose).......but quite simply, we have no answer on the inside is the primary take I get from this analysis.

Melo got 2 early fouls today and was playing not to foul. TBH he shoulda just played hard D anyway, having Paul George as your backup is a supreme luxury. It was selfish of Melo to just allow points in the paint in my opinion. This isnt the Knicks.

Anyway, KD saved USA's ass today. Final score does not tell the whole story, team USA couldnt shoot AT ALL. Durant was getting guys open looks and bricks all day. Thompson may have caught the zika virus cause him hitting the side of the backboard is way more than uncharacteristic. They gotta really step it up, cant take anything for granted.

Sorry to piss in anyone's cornflakes but getting pumped to watch a bunch of guys that make 20, 30 million/year....are not the best of their sport, just the ones willing to go....don't practice cause they might get hurt....who the women's track team could shoot free throws better than many of them, flying in their own private jets, etc. is just not easy.

Gee, my fav moment is getting closer, when I get to see this bunch standing on the podium with USA flags draped over them oozing pride!! They should, they are the embodiment of why USA is a great country though they prob don't realize and I am so nervous hoping that they will take this wonderful stage they have and use it to make a political statement cause that is what I really want to see a bunch of these guys, our peers telling me how I should feel about something!! So excited!!

Give me a team of hungry college all stars that are really playing for something and I am all over it.

Yeah, we did that already. The result is what led to the formation of The Dream Team.

phil must think otherwise since he gave noah that contract.

just hope hornacek isn't forced into playing an ineffective starting lineup because of it.
