Let's begin a current NBA fantasy draft.
Good Call.

By the way Nononsense, Karl Malone and David Robinson starting together on a team is mind blowing.

Bump.
Summer is here again fellas.
Seriously though, this team is totally unstoppable.
Coach: Gregg Popovich
C - David Robinson / AC Green / Chris Kaman
PF - Karl Malone / Lamar Odom
SF - James Worthy / Tayshaun Prince
SG - Joe Dumars / Manu Ginobili / Andrew Toney
PG - Tony Parker / Mike Bibby
Perfect mix of players for the perfect coach. Highly intelligent players for one of the greatest x's and o's coaches of all time. Great defense and great offense. Excellent depth at every position. Some of the greatest personalities in NBA history (Robinson, Dumars, Green, Worthy, etc.). This team is full of good character guys, but not pansies. They're tough on the court and know how to win. Although Dumars is a nice guy, Jordan was quoted saying that Joe D was the toughest person to guard him one-on-one. The Admiral is also a classy guy, but plays great defense. He averaged 3 bpg for his career. In the 91-92 season, he averaged 4.5 bpg and 2.3 spg!!! And the list goes on. Tayshaun Prince is another example of a great character guy that plays stellar defense. So while Dumars and Prince are locking down those pretty boys on the perimeter, Robinson will be swatting more shots than Granny swats flies on the back porch. With these classy personalities, chemistry would be through the roof. Not to mention that Robinson/Parker/Ginobili played together in real life... for the very coach that I selected. Plus Worthy/Green played together. And both groups of players that played together also won multiple championships while playing together. So even though this draft is very hypothetical, almost half my roster has demonstrated in real life that they would indeed gel together and exhibit great success.
Every great team needs an x-factor. Andrew Toney, aka The Boston Strangler, is my x-factor. He comes off the bench and provides instant offense second to none. Just ask Larry Bird.
This was a great draft, and there are some great teams assembled. But I definitely think I have one of the top 3 teams in this draft, and quite possibly the best overall team. Although Sundov has a really nice team as well.

We can just add your team to the first pageKnicksRUs wrote:Yo can we redo this draft for the newbies lol?

This takes me back. I'm glad we found a way to have so much fun during playoff-less summers.
I'd be down, assuming we can figure out how to judge this beforehand. I guess we could draft for fun as well, but that wouldn't be up to me solely. Anyone else want to weigh in?KnicksRUs wrote:Yo can we redo this draft for the newbies lol?
