sc was down by 7 at the half, rallied with tough d and patience to beat fla to get to the final four. sindarius was huge for them, despite some foul trouble.

I would take Fox if we get the first pick.

No, you take Fultz and trade to whoever takes Fox and their 2018 first round pick. 8-)

Personally, if we get the first pick I'd take Fultz. Silky-smooth 6'5 pg with shooting, passing and slashing abilities at 18yrs old.

Since y'all scared to say it, I'll say it for you.

John Calipari is OVERRATED.

All he has to show for all the talent he's coached at Kentucky is ONE national championship?

Like, how?

John Wall
Anthony Davis
Devin Booker
Eric Bledsoe
DeMarcus Cousins
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Nerlens Noel
Julius Randle
Jamal Murray

Miraculous thing about the Tar Heels run through the tournament is...........I cannot name one NBA prospect on the Tar Heels roster that will be drafted in the NBA lottery.

I see 2-3 players from UNC that will indeed be drafted (Justin Jackson, Kennedy Meeks, Joel Barry III), but not one of them are NBA lottery-talent like Kentucky's backcourt of Fox & Monk.

I'm expecting our NYKFP local Tar Heel alum H20 to correct me, but so far......this UNC team basically beat a very well-talented Kentucky team

Agreed.

Williams out-coached Calipari, if you ask me.

Too much talent on this Kentucky roster to not be playing in the Final Four, at least.

Probably none stayed more than a season.

But for every blue chipper that leaves, another one enters thru the door.

re: no one understands how Kentucky loses basketball games to lesser talented teams in the tourney. The '15 40-0 team also lost to a lesser talented Wisconsin team.

You're not wrong at all... but these guys are upperclassmen. They've been here before. They were one buzzer beater away from a national championship last year... so they take advantage when freshmen get nervous at the en of big games. Roy gets a lot of shit from people for not calling timeouts at the end of games, but its brilliant. This is what they practice over and over again, down 6, 2 minutes to go, that's been Roy's go to scrimmage scenario since he started coaching. No doubt Fox and Monk are talented (although Monk is undersized and Fox needs a cheeseburger), but they dont have the experience to win that game under those circumstances. It's why Cal's teams usually lose.. they're just too young.

Even the Lawson-Ellington-Green-Hansborough-Zeller/Davis team didn't win it til they were upperclassmen. Granted, when they won it, they beat the shit out of everyone in the tournament... but still, experience seems to matter as much as talent at the end of the day.

basketball is a team sport and chemistry beats talent most of the time esp since the recruits UNC gets are highly rated going into college.

Basically a tier of players 15-30 after 3 years together will be better than top 10 guys playing one year together.

I don't like the way he yells at his players after every mistake. He's a great recruiter. But this was just a great game that was won on a last second shot...literally. Overtime wouldve been so sweet. Monk's last 2 three's on the biggest stage imaginable   WOW there were two guys hanging on him both times, and he nails the must-make three...TWICE!!! If we slip too 5th or 6th pick and miss Fox, I have no problem taking this dude. they under utilized him.

I'm not sure if Briscoe and Fox hid Monks talents or covered his weaknesses

I see Lou Williams/Ben Gordon when I see Monk...which is a good player but not a high lottery pick
