I forgot about that but still, I just couldn't ever believe we would allow him to keep his entire salary. That's a lie actually, its definitely believable

But Knox doesnt start and its sold as Frank over Knox but neither are starting at the positions we drafted them for. Next we'll draft Zion and tell him hes a backup at PF but a starter at SG

I think it's all going to work itself out. I wouldn't worry about Knox not starting the first game of the season. Or the 2nd, or the 5th.

Watcher,

We correctly named the starting lineup. Not bad. :thumbsup:

To me, this lineup made/makes the most sense.

Sure you do...

Fran beat out Tim at the 2

Tim beat out Knox at the 3..

Tim will be short lived at the 3

Hawks starters look like a shittier version of the Knicks, not a single matchup Id pick them over us. Burke is pesky, hope he can unsettle the rookie and I think Enes can juke his way to a foul by Len every other possession. Hopefully the starters have been doing it in practice, but anyway let tge Fizdale era begin!

:drunk: 4 games in 6 days, heaven, I'm in heaven....here's what I'm looking for, THE FRENCH FREAK!!!! he's going to respond to this promotion over Knox, because he did it the old fashioned way...HE FREAKING EARNED IT!!!, he won't feel a drop of pressure as a wing, Fiz surprised us with this vote of confidence, Nillikita is going to exert his will out there, I just feel it.... :popcorn: I think the whole team is going to respond honestly, because it isn't the same old bullshit :drunk:

So let me see if I follow this 3 headed monster of a coaching staff..

Frank starts at the 2,Knox is a 3 or a 4,but Frank is promoted over Knox???

How exactly does Frank compete with Knox??

Knox,who everyone labeled the next KD shit the bed,consequently he lost his spot in the starting rotation..Fair enough,as Fiz has to be consistent..cant give the nod to Knox and then bench Frank

My question to you and your coaching staff ,should Frank play well,and Knox develops,is Frank the odd man out or Tim??

^^ Don posted and I agree. knox will take the spot of either Burke, Tim , or lance. Really depends on how it plays out.

For this opening night starting five, Fiz went with the players who played best in preseason. His picking order in terms of who deserves to start was something along these lines :
1- Lance -> PF
2- Enes -> C
3- THJ -> SG
4- Frank -> PG or SG or SF
5- Burke -> PG
6- Knox -> SF
So he took the 5 most deserving players and put Frank where there is still a spot open (after he checked Frankie could play there a bit). Now, imo, it could indeed be Timmy SF and Frank SG, but I don't really mind because these positions don't seem to differ much in Fiz mind.

For your question, Tao, for team development's sake, Lance and/or Burke should be the odd men out at some point leaving a spot for Knox at SF or PF.

Fun fact: despite all five starters being with us last season, the line-up played a total of .3 minutes together in 2017-18. Fiz definitely changing things up. :popcorn:

makes sense...Frank usually was the main PG on the floor with his limited time and Lance rarely saw the floor and saw time at the 4.

either way...i'm hype that our team is back and things count.

I agree with this as the most likely situation..

Maxin should be excited about his 2PG line up, even though one of those PG's is playing SF! WTF!..

Since Frank is bigger than THJ just defensively must be that way..

Pulled this gem from the Yahoo comments:
Huge Nicks fan here. Love what they have done signing Tom Hardway and Eric Cantor. Plus, why is no one talking about them having Joaquin Nowa? He is a former Defensive Player of the Year for the Celtics!! Typical sports media, ignoring the Nicks and focusing on the Lakers because they have Lebron.
