^^^^Perfectly suited for a top 3 pick. 80% of your starters can't play d. :?

Red does Kyrie play d? Lol
These are all young guys Red. There aren't any Jared Jack's or Carmelo Anthony s. They should be fine.

When you're a career 22 & 5 pg with this reputation:"...an offensive marvel, an unstoppable force at point guard because of his ballhandling ability, shooting skills, and knack for finishing at the rim in traffic."

...you get Jimmy Butler to play defense.

I don't know why Harzogna is considered the most reliable of the band of misfit toys. And he may be but its like people already penciling him in. I think Vonley, at least for until KP is healthy has every chance to rise up as anyone else we've reclaimed.

1st Realistic Choice:
Frank/Burke/Mudiay
Tim/Lee
Knox/Lance
Herzonja/Mitch/Vonleh
Kanter/Mitch/Vonleh

2nd Realistic Choice:
Burke/Frank/Mudiay
Tim/Lee
Knox/Herzonja
Lance/Vonleh
Lantern/Vonleh

My Personal Wish:
Burke/Mudiay
Frank/Tim
Knox/Lee/Lance
Herzonja/Vonleh/Lance
Mitch/Kanter

Mudiay probably starts. Burke is the microwave off the bench. Frank is a SG.

Doesn't matter who starts as long as everyone holds hands during the national anthem.

idk about starting but I want to see Frank and Mudiay play together....mudiay has gotten better as a shooter...Frank will take strides and both are big guards. Mudiay needs to prove he can defend and Frank needs to prove he can assert himself

and Vonleh could be our back up 5

Tao I don't think it matters who starts, because player development is as important as winning. Because of this I fully expect to see a full 10 man rotation with each guy getting half a game to start the season. This should only change if we are in playoff contention around the new year.
However, I read whar you, Red, Nazr, and Cragg wrote and I might consider starting Von and bringing mario in with the second unit for better balance. No rush to start the rookies, they can win the starting spot mid-way.

...as far as Frank goes, I disagree with your belief that he must play PG. He's a slightly underwhelming ball handler at PG, but at SF he's a monster ball-handler, and this can help a team a lot. The facts are that we have a lot of young guards and we need to figure out who'se a keeper and who isn't. The posters who claim to already know are off base. Even a guy who played crappy last year like Emmanuel remains interesting enough to take a hard look at.; even guys like Dotsun, Baker and Trier will cycle in and will get their chances. To accommodate this separation of wheat from chaff, Nikilita will moonlight at SF. He needs playing time, period.
And since it doesn't matter who starts since each guy will get playing time, I'd go by seniority for the most part for starters.

...and let the hot hand's of the night finish the game. That's what really matters most.

I'm ok with Frank being the 3rd playmaker but I want him defending guards on a regular.

and for me you are who you defend.

Why Sf though. Reminds me of Wilson Chandler. He was either a SG or a PF, but never actually a SF, the position he was drafted for when he was here. I always found that funny. So with Frank IDK why the very next move after deciding he doesnt play SF is to put him at SF with players averaging 6'8 and a good 30lbs on him. :?

But as for Vonley, that wasn't necessarily an endorsement for him to start. I was just questioning why Herzongna seems to be the player everyone automatically puts into the starting lineup. As of he himself isn't a reclamation project. Vonley was drafted in the lottery himself and technically is the only true PF on our roster.....that's healthy. Obviously we gotta see what shakes out in camp but I haven't really put up my lineup until I see some preseason games.

^^Nazr, until Lee is traded, it's either Nikilita or Tim moonlighting at SF, Tim carried the load last year, but Frank has grown and will continue getting heavier. Tim deserves a break , he got banged up, let him play SG

Knox and Mario also possible SF's

I mean I get your point watcher but it's mainly fixated on him being a 3.

Mudiay/Frank/Tim can start and I wouldn't say Frank is the 3(you would based on your posts) but to me that's just us starting a 3 guard lineup.

as for Vonleh in today's NBA hes prolly a 5 more than a 4 but I think he can carve out minutes but we just have a lot of guys in the "figuring out" stage

^^exactly Don, we need Lee traded ASAP so everyone can play within their weight class. The backup center needsto rebound the ball, that might have to be Von, by elimination. Not sure how good a rebounder Mitch will be this year, so I also see your point.

this is a great thing to see pan out.

we have a million "if" questions like all bad teams do.

so I'm gonna wait and see who steps up and who steps down. if Mario and Mudiay maximize their talent my advice would be different if they suck lol so I'll just chill.

Mitch can rebound and block shots from day one. he can take the starting gig also......once he learns how not to foul...all bigs go thru that
