Knicks fan at a Town Hall event asks if it makes sense for NYK to hold Kristaps Porzingis out for the season. President Steve Mills says NYK does not want to do anything that jeopardizes Porzingis’ long-term future, seemingly not ruling out the possibility that KP misses the year

Thats the sound of the tank

Also could hurt in/free agency if players havent seen him on the court

Frank has gained 10- 15 pounds of muscle

Scott Perry says he sees Frank walking around with his shirt off, which is a sign of his confidence, joking last year he would never do that. Perry thinks Frank added 10-15 pounds of muscle

Asked about free agency in 2019 at a town hall event, NYK GM Scott Perry says the current players deserve management’s full attention. NYK expects to have enough cap space for a max player in 2019; they’ll need to shed salary or to let many of their own ‘19 FAs walk to have max $

no mention of Noah all night

Perry said we're not going to trade assets for a guy we can get later (i.e. in free agency)

Perry also said we're not going to trade picks

Fiz said players gotta earn playtime

Fiz said frank doesn't have a position. he's a guard who can guard 1-4

Mills: No short cuts. "We're not going to trade our draft picks."

Asked by about past Knicks mistakes that the organization will avoid in the future, president Steve Mills says, “We’re not going to trade any of our (1st round) draft picks.” Mills adds that they aren’t going to trade assets for a player that they can sign in free agency.

I’m excited about the future of the New York Knicks.

And I’m elated to hear Knicks brass put to rest the notion of trading assets for a player that can be signed in free agency, especially if the player wants to become a member of the team.

Common sense prevailed.

How is it merely stating the obvious sounds like a a major revelation when it comes to the knicks???

Hahaha, it's truly how far we have sunk.

yeh i think us specifically are jaded from the losing over the years from one realm or another.

im impressed when we say things remotely logical...other ppl are impressed with 1 year of decent success.

neither are right or wrong but its all context...the spurs can win 50 games next year and their fans may be furious.

yet for us...if we won 50 games with this young squad ...we would throw a parade lol

Super excited to see Frank with 15 pounds of muscle, he's going to be a beast out there. From their statements they sound like they want to move him around at other positions, I'm all in favor of that, what matters is playing time and experience; then his talent and drive will take over. I personally think he will thrive as the secondary ball handler (lower the pressure a decimal), I think it's going to be a great season!! :drunk:

you need multi dimensional defenders in today's NBA....regardless of what their roles are on offense.

Frank fits that...he may play off the ball...he may be the main playmaker...he may be the 3rd ball hander(Knox being second and maybe another wing like Cam Reddish being primary**please lawd**)

Franks versatility on both ends and age is why he requires the investment.

if you can't defend 2 positions effectively nor drop 30 a night efficiently ...your a bench guy. Simple as that. Nothing wrong with it but just what it would take to win big.
