If Hornacek is still the coach after this road trip, then Mills has to be tanking. There is not other explanation for keeping him.

there are many good signs also about Hornacek. And many good games. He is not the worst in nba. Question is, can we get a better one ? I think not, unless Mills is member of this forum, there are many better experts than him and Hornacek

When Suns fired Hornacek, they lost 14 straight on the road. He has a reputation of not prepping his teams for road games. He is also terrible for developing the youth, which is a must for a rebuilding team.

Ettore Messina (Spurs assistant coach) would be a perfect coach if he is available.

While I lobied for Ettore...the worse thing that could happen is firing a coach right now.

we've been turmoil for years because of that same stupid line of thinking and last i checked Phx hasnt been raising any rafters since Jeff left.

Wait until the offseason for any drastic change like that and AFTER KP signs an extension and get a feel for where the team is going.

Perry needs to demand Hornacek develop Frank and give Willy a longer leash. The Knicks suck regardless.
Otherwise just fire him and let Rambis take over the tank.

This team is going to suck next season as well with no cap space to make moves.
Knicks are the only lottery team not developing their youth in favor of pathetic attempts at win now moves with washed up vets.

As for coaching prospects I like the idea of hiring a winning euroleague coach since this team is heavily international.

Every time Willy was given a chance, he was waaay below terrible. You think Hornacek doesnt have reason not to play Willy ? Like he thinks: "oh damn, KOQ is playing very bad tonight, but I will not let Willy play, muahahaha". That would not make sense, right? He is in NBA for some time, he knows whats going on in the team meetings, trainings etc. There MUST be a reason. There must be a reason why top management is not forcing Jeff to play Willy more. Knowing how management works, im sure they had a meeting with Jeff asking the same question and it seems like management was happy with the reason. If not they would force him to play him more, right?

Regarding Frank, maybe he is asking that he would like to go in the big boy league as a 2nd player, how do you know he wants more minutes? I remember my manager saying: "I see you as a starting player, how do you feel", and I told that i dont feel ready and I did not start (but that was soccer, but same thing). If it`s not the case, its not half of the season (since we will get in playoffs, lol). And yet, its just his first season.

P.S. Yet I agree, many Jeffs decisions doesnt make sense (at least for me, but I have not been in NBA or around it).

^ that has been heavily influenced by the international arena hence NBA big men becoming stretch fours and fives.

Hornacek should realize that the fast pace naturally slows down in the 4th quarter. The last quarter is more about half court defense and execution. Only a turnover will lead to a fastbreak and this is not even 100 percent guaranteed. It is wrong for him to insist that our pgs must maintain the quick pace all through out the game.

Hornacek landed an nba coaching job because of his use of the 2pg, nothing more. He knows it.

2pg is the only viable solution for him and the anti-tankers.

Question, shouldn't coaches go beyond their 10 man set rotation when playing a back to back game ? I would.

nice to see hornacek go right back to the starting lineup that put the knicks down double digits in the first half. A true tank commander.

Courtney Lee is oblivious. Hornacek wouldve killed Dotson for leaving his cover open for 3 over and over.
