Typically the training focuses on muscle I'm balances and structural issues. If you look at female basketball, there is an unusually high number of one injuries, many believe due to anatomical structure. In KP's case,he may have an imbalance between his abductors vs his adductors. He may have foot issues which cause over pronation.Who knows..At 7'3" with long limbs, any issues will be magnified by the law of physics,i.e torque, force and moment arms.

Phil was the first person to bring this topic up,and unfortunately it was one of the few things he was right on.

Don't remember who it was who was also recommending that KP stops jumping around rabbit-style. The problem was detected and it seems special training will be performed in order to help with that

I said it, Phil said it.

KP is a sg/sf who grew into a pf/c's body. You see it in his game and it makes sense. When he was younger, learning the game, he probably mimicked agile shooters of course not knowing he'd be a big. Now he's a bit in between imo. He still shows handle and a wing players approach, trying to beat people off the dribble etc.. and we are trying to promote the skills of a big such s keeping the ball above your head, post moves, and rebounding.

But I think he's best served and naturally a SF. That was what he was practicing to be imo and now must transition to PF. If he's going to be an effective big he must learn the goon aspects of the position like pushing a motherfucker out the way to get a rebound or perhaps an inadvertent elbow here and there.

He's a modern day SF who are becoming bigger and bigger until they cross into that part SF / part PF/C realm. It's the natural progression of the position.

offensively everything you said is right....just not sure why your saying like its a bad thing.

in the NBA...your position is who you defend. KP wont be defending the 3.

on offense tho...yes he's just a 7'3 small forward. Kid doesnt make sense and thats why he's the man

No hate for THJ, I just find his price tag a bit high and i like to tease the ppl saying we HAD TO give him that money. I think he’ll be very good next year actually and he should be our starting SG

Doesn’t bring anything to the debate, and it’s classic nitpicking but Enes was drafted in 2011.

I’m sorry I had to bring that up, I just wouldn’t have been able to find sleep if I didn’t :warp:

Not that it's a bad thing but certain aspects of playing a wing position effectively in the league with the body type and size that he has adds to injury problems on the joints and lower body.

While a player like Tim Duncan's game may help him avoid injuries KP's game, athleticism, and activity takes more of a toll on his body type.

What I would like to see is a consolated set of go-to moves that don't sap his energy and a next level of play held in reserve for game winning and playoff situations. Take it down a notch while remaining effective. Be smart and pick your spots like good cerebral players do. Avoid leaving the ground unnecessarily.

Kristaps Porzingis - F - Knicks
Kristaps Porzingis said that he's "healing really fast."

"He’s going to come back a different monster," Porzingis' trainer Larry Sanders said. "He was hard to deal with before, but he’ll be much harder to deal with after." He's not running yet, but he's been getting up shots and doing upper body weight work. The goal is to take it slow and not put too much stress on his knee coming out of surgery. "We’re doing all the right things that we don’t rush anything," Porzingis said. "It’s been really, really smooth so far."

I do not even know why I am opening this discussion again :? But if I am one of the people you like to tease let me clarify my position in regards to THJ... The only reason I speak up against people who say we could have gotten him my cheaper is that we will never know... As I have stated many times before you have to overpay to get restricted FAs... So if the FO wanted THJ they had to hit a price the Hawks were not willing to match... Whatever that limit was we will probably never know...

he's starting to look quite strong...

age and weight training has set him up to be the knicks center upon return.

kanter and kp won't work.

we both have bashed his strength no doubt but there is no question that his agility/coordination is as good as any 7 footer in history.

kid is a science project.

if he gets a solid core idk what they are gonna do...they meaning the NBA.

he hasnt hit his ceiling...and hes an all star.
