Retire Amare uselessmire, and sign and trade shumpert and whatever the fuck they want for Rondo.

JVG will come if we have those guys. Rondo is a hooper. Smartest PG in the WORLD.

Ainge isn't trading Rondo here. We don't have any assets anyway.

(New York Knicks guard) Iman Shumpert had a second left knee operation over the summer, the Daily News has learned and it is unclear if the unreported surgery could impact his trade value with the desperate Knicks trying to package Shumpert in a number of proposed deals including one for Boston’s Rajon Rondo.

Of course, the Knicks primary target is Rondo, Boston’s All Star point guard who is currently recovering from knee surgery. The Knicks have been trying to trade Shumpert, Raymond Felton and Amar’e Stoudemire in a complicated deal for Rondo but the rebuilding Celtics has yet to show much interest.

Unless the Celtics are blown away with an offer it’s hard to imagine Celtics GM Danny Ainge trading his best player, Rondo, to the rival Knicks.

If getting Rondo is improbable, I'll go with trading Iman Shumpert for that aggresive and athletic but shy starting SF/PF they have there at Boston. A good sport. whats his name again? I want him.

Alright, rumor is that Knicks offered Shump and Amare for Rondo and fillers. Celtics allegedly turned us down because they want to dump Gerald Wallace and Courtney Lee's contracts. I'm hearing they'd take Amare's deal because it's a shorter deal that becomes an expiring after this season.

Okay, what about Shump, Felton, and Amare for Rondo, Wallace, Lee?

While Rondo and Tyson are out:

PG - Pablo / Beno
SG - J.R. / Lee
SF - Wallace / THJ
PF - Melo / Metta
C - Bargs / Kmart

When Rondo and Tyson come back:

PG - Rondo / Pablo
SG - J.R. / Lee
SF - Wallace / Metta
PF - Melo / Kmart
C - Tyson / Bargs

I would do that trade, I think Rondo and Melo with a decent supporting cast of Tyson, Bargs, and JR can win a championship.

Gerald wallace is just straight garbage now though, almost as bad as amare. plus 1 more year on his contract vs amare, so that would be one of the only reasons celtics would do it.

we'd probably have to give like 3 more draft picks again and not have a pick until 2020

it's shit both on financial and basketball

for basketball, awful space so any team will double melo and let rondo or wallce shot 3.
financially, we cannot get room for 2015 free agents.
if rondo is not in his level anymore, we will be back to Isaiah era. what a shit.

I think at this stage most fans would give up Felton + Shump for an 'A Grade' PG.

The question is what teams would be willing to take these 2 that also have a PG they are willing to part with.
I heard the Kings like Shump, how about Felton + Shump for Vasquez & McLemore?

I dunno I will probably get ripped for that suggestion lol but what realistic options are there for us?

Or is it simply a matter of hoping whoever out HC is he somehow gets the best out of the guys we have now?

Not going to happen. Mid season trades never work. We just need felton to play better. And why the hell doesn't Beno play?

Good question re Udrih.
You would think that with Felton sucking and Prigs not being himself of late Beno would at least get a few mins here or there but I cant even remember the last game he actually played??

Only way out of this mess: Trade Shumpert to orlando for the rights to our pick. Then we trade Melo and Chandler and tank.

I would do this. I like Gerald Wallace and he would have a chip against the Nets which would be very good. He seems like he could be nasty if provoked to be mean. Rondo is simply my favorite player. He is so cerebral, so quick and crafty. Clyde loves him so does JVG. Getting rid of Amare would be good for our culture and Felton just needs to go. Shumpert seems to be unhappy and I wish him the best elsewhere.

Rondo's also a shitty shooter, which is okay on a team with Ray Allen and Paul Pierce... but we don't exactly have a ton of shooters for him to sling the ball around to.

He seemed to make shots against us pretty well. And he is still young AND played with Ray Allen. I think even simple diffusion leads him to improving. He is just fucking amazing. I love this guy and he would have a huge chip to play against nets. A very good thing.

It'd be great to get Rondo..........but I'm not giving up 2015 cap space to acquire Rondo and take on Gerald Wallace's shitty contract. Rondo will be a 2015 UFA anyway, I'd rather attempt to get him then than having Gerald Wallace's crappy ass wasting cap space on the 2015 salary cap.
