I'd support bringing KT back for veteran leadership. Rescuing a franchise from the abyss of 9 straight losing seasons means you have to create a culture of winning. This is easier said than done. But you do it by bringing in character guys who are tough, responsible, and absolutely HATE losing. In the sense that KT is all those things, he is a dying breed in today's NBA. He's old school, first cutting his teeth under Riley, then Van Gundy. I doubt he has anything left in the tank, and I think he'd rather retire than come play for NY again, but if he's willing to take little money for a year or 2, why not?

cause we need an actual center, not another power forward playing the center position being undersized. besides, if we get what we need this summer there'll be plenty of leadership in here and KT won't be needed for that, and if we don't, bringing Kurt here won't mean jack.
D'Antoni - the future former coach of the New York Knicks. 2011 is my guess.

I was saying to sign KT not so much that we can play him, but as an 11th or 12th man and a locker room presence. I'm not deluding myself into thinking that this team doesn't need a center if KT signs here.

but who are we expecting to get leadership from over the summer? LeBron and Wade are leaders but the chances are slim of them signing here. Bosh, Johnson, and Gay are their teams' best players but are not really the vocal leaders. I don't think signing one of them is enough to revitalize the franchise and build a winning culture. Having solid role players is just as important.
