Not really into analytics, not the way it probably appears if I post an article regarding analytics but here’s an ESPN read on the topic http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2377 ... rojections

Interestingly enough, it concludes Bagley to be the best player in the draft, gives Trae Young a rather high bust potential and basically says Walker is overrated and shouldn’t be considered a top prospect. BTW, I’m hardly surprised to see Jarred Vanderbilt listed at 22, even though his shooting percentages in his short-lived college career are dismal.

Mikal is listed at 5 behind Bagley, Doncic, Ayton and Jackson.

Mikal “All-Star potential” is only behind Bagley.

Of course all this means Mikal Bridges won’t be available when New York drafts at 9, smh.

Both Sexton and Young have high bust ratings..............wow, no one likes any of the top guard prospects in this year's draft

Not shocked though, Sexton is 6'2" BUT he's more Lou. Williams than he is an actual pure PG prospect, while Trae Young's intangibles as a "future Steph. Curry" has more question marks than definite answers.

It’d be disheartening to me if New York walked away without either one of the Bridges.

I like other players but really, really believe we need to take one of these players at 9. Basketball Insiders “experts” project New York to select either Mikal, Trae or Knox. http://www.basketballinsiders.com/2018- ... t-ver-7-0/

Luckily, If New York doesn’t do anything crazy like trade up, Trae should be drafted before the 9th.

Sexton may turn out to be the next Eric Bledsoe as projected, but I can live with that miss.

Considering how Bledsoe's career has now panned out (he hasn't been the same since he left Phoenix/Clippers/Western Conference), yeah I'm with you.........I'll survive

Michael Porter Jr.’s group canceled a workout scheduled on Friday, per league sources. The Knicks, Suns, Kings and other lottery teams had planned to attend in Chicago.@ringer's mock draft is updated to reflect the latest intel, including Porter rising: http://nbadraft.theringer.com

One that stood out to me was Kevin Knox and Miles Bridges:

- Kevin Knox 7% all star, 32% starter, 45% role player, 16% bust
- Miles Bridges 7% all star, 24% starter, 50% role player, 20% bust

Based off their current ability I'm surprised to see Miles has greater bust potential than Knox. Miles is a more polished player and even with his tweener status he should find the transition to the pro game far easier than Knox who is a typical raw high upside player that will need coaching up if he's going to reach his potential.

As for Young and Sexton both having a greater than 20% chance of being busts, I think that is a fair prediction because of their size and what they bring to the table. I'd still take the risk on one of them if they were clearly the BPA at #9, but their ratings don't surprise me.

I was referring to Avery Johnson/Whatleys assessment.ill look for it.

Edit:. It was Alabama's ast coach who said it..

Alabama assistant coach Yasir Rosemond, who started recruiting Georgia native Sexton when he was an assistant at the University of Georgia and knows him as well as anyone, thinks he has a read on how Sexton will fare at the next level. “Low end, and this is no disrespect, he can be an Eric Bledsoe type, because he has that kind of speed and athleticism,” Rosemond says. “His ceiling? I think his ceiling could be a Russell Westbrook.”

@NBADraftWass
Heard Lonnie Walker had 3-hour dinner with Knicks brass Tuesday night before his solo workout yesterday. Remains in the mix at 9 even if Mikal is there.

Mike. Good catch. I don’t know too much about Kevin Knox to make an honest assessment. I watched a lot of Kentucky basketball, but nothing about Knox stood out to me. He can hoop, but nothing really stood out. In fairness, I focused on a couple of his Wildcat teammates. If asking, I’d have to say many believe Miles is already who he will be in the league and Knox, because of his younger age, receives the benefit of the unknown/doubt that his ceiling is higher? And I know that sounds crazy cause both Bridges had better college
careers, but that’s just the way it is, I guess.

BTW, I came across this Sports Illustrated read asking which wing would you draft first regarding Knox, Miles and Mikal https://www.google.com/amp/amp.si.com/n ... 2018-class

Knox has provided scouts with enough of a preview in each facet of the game to where teams should be salivating over the chance to invest in him in the late lottery. Picking Knox is betting far more on upside than a presently realized skill set. But the dividends could prove highly lucrative, and a team could be selecting a potential All-Star at the back end of the lottery.

Again, Knox’s “developmental upside” is what appears to be in Knox’s favor, moreso than Mikal and Miles.

there are times that "development" is overrated.

i've seen plenty of guys with talent fail. And its not like Miles and Mikal are scrubs either.

Miles gets handle and guys are in trouble. lefty going down hill..great FT shooter...hes the strongest 220 i've seen in a while and a high motor.

Knicks Film School
@KnickFilmSchool
Interesting, two new mocks released by @MikeAScotto (https://theathletic.com/392853/2018/06/ ... -continue/ …) and @DraftExpress (http://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_ ... ng-lottery …) today, and both have changed their picks for the Knicks versus their previous mocks.

Both now have the Knicks taking Kevin Knox

Knox is the ultimate boom or bust man . he will be really/good or out the NBA.

Anyways adding him to poll

If the Sixer's really want mikal would you trade him for 10 and 26

if the sixers are dumb enough to do that trade I'd do it GLADLY

take Frazier at 26...Miles/Knox/ Lonnie at 10

Frank/Lonnie or Frazier/Miles or Frazier or Knox

thats....real interesting imo esp
