true...but based on the coach search..that seemed to be pretty extensive to most NBA teams standards.

but for the most part this is how it should of gone the whole time.

Suns, Hornets and Bucks did the same extensive search just this off season. So I don't think it was unusual at all.

from what i saw they interviewed actual coaches which is normal i guess since i follow us 10x more i seemed like i saw more names for us than other teams....we were also interviewing Kenny Smith...which is absurd but I dont see random guys like that getting interviews.

and maybe they are...but its not thrown out there on the media since they are smaller markets.

I'm happy with how things are being run.

It definitely feels like teams (us included) do a way more thorough process before choosing their coach than in the past

The Knicks are among the teams who’ve sent an executive to the Next Sports Pro Day in Atlanta today, where Seton Hall’s Khadeen Carrington and others are working out. Full list of players at the workout here: https://t.co/XE5yaDjSyo

It is, you just have to pay attention. For example here: https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2018/04/201 ... acker.html

Knicks with 11 interviews (including Smith), Bucks with 10 candidates (including Prunty), Suns with 11 (including Triano) and Hornets with 9. Nothing unusual.

Potential lottery pick Kevin Knox worked out for the Magic today and confirmed that Orlando isn’t the only Eastern lottery team he’s auditioning for in the weeks leading up to the draft. According to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel (Twitter link), Knox worked out last week for the Cavaliers, and will visit the Knicks over the weekend. He’ll also earn a look from the Bulls next Tuesday.

I don't think it's going out on a limb but I believe coach (& the FO) wants to see how Trae looks with added muscle in person and if he can play d. It doesn't matter that he's 6'2" or that we have young guards currently on the roster. If he can play d coach will find a way to use him. If he indeed blows them away then trading up is a definite possibility with no man being safe.
Knicks president Steve Mills made it clear that New York plans to sign a star in the 2019 offseason. "Porzingis is a magnet."

According to Woj, Robert Williams will be working out with us soon. He's a 6'9" rim runner that defends and rebounds, long and athletic, projects as a 4/5 although he needs to polish his j and ft.

Read that he also watched some film with Fiz.

Also
"Since March 21, Young has put on 13 pounds and lost 2 percent body fat after working with a new trainer, Travelle Gaines, in Los Angeles. It figures his defense — which scouts cite as a significant flaw — could elevate with a sturdier frame."
