No one wants to talk about that first quarter vs. Golden State?

I don't think Mudiay is terrible. I think he needs to improve his shot with repetition, become more athletic even if that means losing weight, and just needs time to build chemistry with the players on the court.
Establishing the backcourt of the future next season would be nice.

Mudiay might not be an allstar but he can be a solid pass first pg with a starting lineup that already has enough offensive fire power with Tim and KP(and eventually Frank IMO).

Mudiay is very inconsistent but his flashes are promising... so frustrating. He can be the next Oladipo or end up heading back to China by 2019. The line is thin

I still like the idea of Mudiay and Kanter doing the pick and roll. Emmanuel needs to improve his shooting and shot selection. One thing he's been doing well is drawing fouls, but he's been shooting terribly from the line as well.

Maths don't lie and Mudiay is THE worst PG on defense (he didn't really pass the eye test either):

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2763 ... h-position

Also notable:
- Lonzo is one of the best PG in defense this season
- DSJ and Monk are struggling at this end of the floor
- I didn't realize Oladipo was also making it happen in defense. It's this kind of player resurrection that makes you trade for Mudiay
- Crowder is def a system kind of guy
- Hezonja would be a player I would consider in FA, but his defense is shit
- As expected, Kanter is a defense liability

hilarious that Lebron has Tristan and Love on his team and making it work lol

when you have players that the foundation of their game is defense and team play...like Frank, Lee, Noah and Lance...i think you take them and just wait till you get superstars with them.

KP and Tim when playing well almost made us a playoff team...imagine a real stud with KP and Tim would do.

ill say this again...we have a great supporting cast...we just lack the alphas...and if Mudiay doesnt commit to his body both working out/diet and all that...its gonna be an issue unless we need him to help us lose for another lottery pick

You could see while Lonzo was shooting like a high school player,he had some thing special in him..

Other than Lonzo,Frank is right there in the PG draftees..Not sure what Mitchel is,other than good...

DSJ is OK,Momk is lost and Fox needs work..

Super mario scares me..As little Bravado as Frank has,Mario has an abundance...NOT sure if he can back it up..

Kanter and Mudiay..uggghh

No excuse for Mudiay

Whatever almost all those guys on that list are good NBA players. Advanced stats are trash. Actually, hilariously enough I bet that lineup would beat the Knicks. Mudiay, Jamal, Fournier, Thompson and Randolph is better than the current starting 5 the Knicks have.

I'm not very knowledgeable about advanced stats but over the years have learned a few things. All I know is the advanced stats say Mudiay is trash and so does the eye test so I guess today I have faith in them.

I have no idea if Mudiay is terrible, but I do know that he isn't good enough to take all of Frank's minutes at the 1..

Let them split time at the one.

Ironically with advanced stats....they usually confirm what i already think with non substance players.

for example when i watch andrew wiggins the last couple years i always felt he was a great talent but he just doesnt do the substance of basketball. I look at things in 2 split ways when it comes to NBA players...the "production" stats like points/steals/blocks and substance basketball like field goal %/passing/boxing out/setting good screens/how they close out on defense/make the extra pass/getting through screens

rebounding is a weird one...a lot non substance players are good rebounders ...some guys actually give up defending well so they can get rebounds so thats in the bubble because rebounding is still top 3 most important things in the game.

and usually if a players only pros are the production stats and when i watch them play and see that they suck at the substance stats

ill go and look at their DR/OR/WS and other random stats and it actually confirms my point.

So Wiggins scores and all but when i watch him play....i just see no substance...and advanced stats kind of go along those lines as well.

I've seen enough of Mudiay. He's like Rose, can't orchestrate for shit and falls on his ass on most of his drives which translates into a 4 on 5.
Waste of everyone's time. Please cut him this summer. I'd be OK with Frank and Burke.

At least he goes to the rim. Frank has like 5 free throw attempts all year probably.

I'm tiring of Mudiay as well. He appears to be mediocre outside of getting to the rim and his defense is beyond atrocious. If he was putting up 20-25 every night, stroking 3's and showing he's an offensive powerhouse, I could look the other way on the defensive shortcomings.

He's too much of a liability on both sides of the ball.

Is he a FA at the end of the season?
